First joint training course on Atmospheric Composition

The course

The European Space Agency (ESA), the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT), and the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) are organising a first joint training course on Atmospheric Composition with a focus on air quality.

Specific Goals
Present the state of the art in air quality monitoring, the societal impact and needs
Enhance the capacity on data access and analysis of existing and new satellite data
products and monitoring services
Foster participants driven personal and team projects
Target Audience
Early career scientists and service providers in the area of atmospheric pollution data
analysis from member states of the EU and the hosting agencies including associated
countries. Applications from all other countries are also welcome, while acceptance is
subject to space availability.

No specific pre-requsites are requested
Students are advised to make themselves familiar with data in order to maximise the
learning success and to shape their short projects to be developed during the course.
For this an on-line phase will take place 2 weeks before the course. Furthes updates
will be provided to the course participants

The official language of the workshop is English. No participation fees will be charged. Limited number of partial grants for travel support are available.
